Aims & Scope

About the Journal
The Journal of Social Sciences and Economics (JSSE) (ISSN: 2958-1532) is an open-access, peer-reviewed international journal that publishes high-quality original research in social sciences, economics, and related interdisciplinary fields.

JSSE provides a platform for scholarly dialogue on the dynamics of societies, institutions, economic development, governance, and human behavior. The journal welcomes both theoretical and empirical contributions that address contemporary challenges across diverse social, cultural, environmental, and economic contexts.

Scope of the Journal
JSSE invites research contributions in, but not limited to, the following areas:

  • Economics: applied economics, development economics, environmental economics, agricultural economics, behavioral economics, and policy analysis.

  • Social Sciences: sociology, anthropology, political science, governance, public administration, and law with societal relevance.

  • Education and Demography: public policy in education, population studies, rural and urban development.

  • Culture and Society: cultural studies, religious studies, communication, and media with social or developmental impact.

  • Tourism and Regional Development: economic, cultural, and sustainability aspects of tourism and place-based development.

  • Environmental and Sustainability Studies: climate change, natural resources, and sustainability issues affecting societies and economies.

  • Technology and Data-Driven Studies: digital platforms, AI, and emerging technologies where explicitly applied to social or economic systems.

Interdisciplinary Orientation
JSSE particularly encourages interdisciplinary research that integrates economics, policy, behavior, and institutional change. Submissions should clearly demonstrate relevance to the social sciences or economics through conceptual frameworks, data analysis, policy discussion, or societal applications.
