About the Journal

Food Science & Applied Microbiology Reports (FSAMR) [E-ISSN: 2958-0684] is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal that publishes original research in food science, food chemistry, microbiology, biochemistry, food technology, nutrition and related disciplines.

All submitted manuscripts undergo single-blind peer review by at least two independent reviewers. The journal publishes two issues per year.

As an open-access journal, all content is made immediately and freely available to users and their institutions without charge. Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), under which authors retain copyright of their work and grant the journal the right of first publication. Users may read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of articles for any lawful purpose, provided appropriate credit is given to the original work.

FSAMR publishes innovative contributions in food science, food chemistry, microbiology, biochemistry, food technology, and nutrition. Submissions must demonstrate novelty in approach, methodology, or application and highlight their significance for the scientific community or food industry.

The journal accepts manuscripts in English in the form of:

  • Research articles

  • Review articles

  • Short reviews

  • Research notes

  • Commentary

Manuscripts involving human clinical trials are outside the journal’s scope and will not be considered.

Article Processing Charges (APC): 

FSAMR is fully Open Access, and there are no charges for initial manuscript submission. 

To support peer review, copyediting, typesetting, online hosting, archiving, and journal management, an Article Processing Charge (APC) is required only after a manuscript has been accepted for publication.

  • PKR 25,000 – National submissions

  • USD 200 – International submissions

The APC becomes payable only after final editorial acceptance and does not influence the peer-review process or editorial decision.

Waiver Policy: FSAMR may grant full or partial APC waivers to authors from low-income countries or in cases of genuine financial hardship upon reasonable request.
