Publication Charges

All articles published in the Journal of Social Sciences and Economics (JSSE) are fully Open Access.
There are no charges for initial submission.

To support peer review, copyediting, typesetting, online hosting, archiving, and journal management, an Article Processing Charge (APC) applies only after acceptance:

• PKR 25,000 – National submissions

• USD 200 – International submissions

Discounts and Waivers

JSSE is committed to equitable access to publishing.

• Reduced APCs are available for authors affiliated with institutions in Low (L) and Lower-Middle (LM) income countries, based on the OECD DAC classification.

• Individual waiver requests may be considered on a case-by-case basis for authors with limited or no funding.

Waiver requests must be submitted at the time of manuscript submission.
Requests made during review or after acceptance will not be considered.

Authors will normally be notified of waiver decisions within 3 working days.

Reprints

Authors may order printed copies of the published issue for USD 100 (including courier charges).
Reprints are optional and do not affect editorial decisions.

Our Financial Model

The sustainability of JSSE is supported through a transparent and mixed funding model:

• Editorial and Administrative Volunteers:
  Editorial board members, faculty, and researchers contribute on an honorary basis.

• Publisher Support:
  Finesse Publishing provides infrastructure, online hosting, and dissemination services.

• Conferences and Seminars:
  Academic events organized by the journal contribute to operational support.

• Donations and Sponsorships:
  Support from institutions and partners helps maintain open-access publishing.

• Language Quality Support:
  Authors are responsible for ensuring linguistic quality. Professional language editing is recommended but not mandatory. Authors may use any independent service provider.
