Aims and Scope

Food Science & Applied Microbiology Reports (FSAMR) publishes original research in:

  • Food Science and Chemistry

  • Microbiology, Biochemistry

  • Biotechnology and nutrition

Types of Submissions

  • Research Articles (up to 6,000 words)

  • Review Articles (up to 7,000 words)

  • Short Communications / Perspectives (up to 3,000 words)

Manuscript Preparation

  • File format: Word or LaTeX

  • Abstract: max 200 words

  • Keywords: up to 5

  • References: Use a numbered citation style. References should be listed in the order of appearance in the text and formatted consistently according to the journal’s reference style.

  • Tables/Figures: max 5 each

Submission Requirements

  • Online submission via OJS

  • One designated corresponding author

  • Cover letter confirming originality and exclusivity

  • Suggested reviewers (minimum 3, no conflict of interest)

Ethics and Research Integrity

  • Human or survey-based research must follow ethical standards (informed consent, confidentiality).

  • An Ethical Statement is required where applicable.

Data Availability

Authors are encouraged to share data in public repositories.
Data Availability Statement must be included.

Authorship and Contributions

Authorship must reflect substantial contributions.
The CRediT taxonomy should be used.

After Acceptance

  • Proofs must be returned within 2 working days.

  • Articles are published online first before issue assignment.
